Even with the weakest burner on its lowest setting, the hood freaks out. For these past 2 years, I've been in a little dance with support, who for some reason don't feel they need to send anyone out. First, they claimed it was the remote control receiver being interfered with by other 2.5 Ghz devices. I didn't buy a remote control (because why? I'm right there cooking) so had no idea it had a receiver. They sent a remote. Didn't do anything.Then they said it must be a bad heat sensor. Changing it didn't work. Then they said replace the entire circuit board. That didn't work.Then they blamed the installer, saying that it is "standard practice" to have two feet of conduit before making a turn. This is not included in the installation manual. I brought the HVAC guy back out. He's never heard of such a practice. You can't find reference to it anywhere online either but you can find plenty of videos of professional contractors installing theirs exactly as mine is installed -- about 10 inches up, two 45 degree bends, and out the wall. Fits inside a standard kitchen cabinet. I have never seen one shoot out the top of the cabinet before going through the wall.This is by design and it is a bad one. This is what they refer to as "heat sentry." Well I have measured the temperature up inside the hood with the lowest burner on and it is not even 100 F. This is pretty clearly a poorly designed "feature" but I have discovered that the hood will still work if you completely disconnect the heat sensor so that is what I did. Now it turns on and off only when I tell it to, which is how it should be.Frankly, they've got a lot of gall peddling something this for so much money. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Noisy *by L***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2018* I will start by saying I purchased this fan for my summer home. I have a Kitchenaid "whisper quiet" fan in my main home and LOVE it. There was a big price difference between the two fans. So I went with the Broan. Big mistake. Number 1 fan speed on the Broan is comparable to number 3 on the Kitchenaid. Fan speed 3 is like a tornado!! I should have spent the extra on Kitchenaid. I love to cook so a quiet fan is important. The fan is beautiful and makes quite a statement in my kitchen, I just expected more for performance. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very efficient and powerful !
