Any recommendations.** A: Yes I had the same problem. However as a electronic Tech. I could make a a slight change in the circuit to Rectify that. However I could not submit the cure For other than personal use. Call the company that made it. They might just replace it. **Q: Can this be wired to turn on a bildge pump instead of the siren?** A: In a bilge application and underway, you would need two of these to trigger the pump to turn on and off when the water has not gotten deep enough to require the bilge pump to turn on. I would put one low enough so that it stays submerged, signal lost if uncovered by water. Then when the higher sensor detected water a latching relay that is tripped would keep the pump running, use another relay for the pump, and when the lower sensor becomes uncovered the pump shuts off. You need two of the devices, you can have more than one sensor, I have 6 on each devices monitoring area. **Q: Using on a bilge pump. issue is once the bilge was pumped out any slight amount of water kicks the pump on and immediately off. do i need delay relay?** A: Use a back flow preventer in the pump output hose to keep water returning to the bilge which then restarts the pump after the pumps first shuts off. **Q: Will this detect cat urine? Cat will pee along a certain wall, want to hide 2 wires in the carpet edge, alarm scares cat and alert me** A: I would think that it would, I am using it for detecting spills in water stores that refill 5 gallon cooler bottles, and it works perfectly on the city water, however the Permeate, low TDS water has to have a really large contact area to trip the sensor. The long wires version should work the best. I even had to add some salt crystals near the sensor to get the product water to become conductive enough. My recommendation is to buy it, use your wires to try it, if it doesn't work return it becuase you did not use their sensors. The water cooler sits on a mat in the barn and we have the sensor sitting down on the mat. If the pump stays on and leaks, the sensor reads it and the relay kicks on and turns off the system.
