I'm glad I didn't base my purchase solely on the fact that there was only one previous review of this devotional - I probably would have gone with something more widely reviewed and that would have caused us to miss out on this treasure!While my husband was raised in a churchgoing family, I was not. Until this year, we'd never attended church as a couple and our kids have only known church as a place where people get married or have funerals. We began attending recently, found a church that feels "right" for our family, and decided that a devotional would be a great way to expand the depth of our journey.This devotional has stories that I wish I'd heard as a child. My girls look forward to the stories each night and remind me to read it. Better yet, they're referencing the stories, debating the outcomes of the stories and related verses, and sharing so much about their lives with us as we talk about the problems the characters face in the nightly stories. I can't imagine what this new nightly ritual will do for my family.
