## Questions & Answers

**Q: Product of where? Japan?, China?**
A: Product of China distributed through a California company.

**Q: Is this vegan?**
A: I would say this isn't vegan. It states on the ingredients list, 'May contain yolk powder.' This seems far too specific to be a legal/food safety disclaimer. There are other mushroom seasoning powders that are 100% non-animal based. Better to be safe and go with one of those.

**Q: Does this product contain gluten?**
A: No.

**Q: is this product Kosher pareve?**
A: Totole products don't have a hechsher (kosher certification) marking. The ingredients shown are vegan and kosher parve.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awsome

Great flavor

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tasty mushroom man crystals
*by on Reviewed in the United States July 24, 2026*

Despite the shape of the mushroom man on the front (it lovingly got a very inappropriate name among my teenagers), these granules add an umami flavor to all our mixes, marinades, and broths.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly concentrated so a little goes a long way and container will last months
*by on Reviewed in the United States July 5, 2026*

Very good... Highly concentrated so just a little is enough otherwise too salty
