However, I am a picky sleeper and my opinion on sleep-related items is always rather quick and decisive. I have always been the type of person that puts a pillow over my head and sleeps under 2 thick comforters...in Florida. I seek out the weight and pressure that comes with being cocooned when I sleep. I also hate hate random noises or persistent lights. Unfortunately for me, there is a security light outside one of my windows, facing the bed. Enter the NODPOD! I ordered the pillowcase + NODPOD combination and it was really easy to put together. I put it on a bare pillow, zipped it closed, easy. The NODPOD attaches with plastic snaps on either side of the plastic band, almost like snaps for some denim but on either side. It's hard to explain but it makes the attachment feel secure. I have had it on my pillow for a week now and it hasn't once come off. I even put my regular pillow case over this one and the NODPOD hangs out the side, which is fine for me. I have found that this is really nice for falling asleep. It is soft enough to be comfortable, the beads inside aren't too heavy. It's pretty cool how if I roll over, it stays pretty much in place. Is it 100% a light-proof mask? Nah. But it works well enough if I want to lay down when I have a tension headache after work, especially in my bright bedroom. The weight is super soothing. I even started sleeping with the covers farther down because it gives me the sensation of pressure over my ear, blocking out noise in tandem with a stand fan. Overall, its a nice to have not a need to have. BUT it has increased the quality of my sleep and that's all I could ask for. Review: Didn't receive the color I ordered - I ordered the black eye pillow to match my bedding & received white instead. Black is also my favorite color & white shows every little speck of dirt, no matter how diligently you clean. I'm very disappointed to say the least. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Weighted sleep mask *by K***W on August 4, 2017* Thought I was a little nuts when I ordered this. But I am having trouble with my eyes drying out at night, especially when I run the ceiling fan in hot weather. Optometrist recommended using a sleep mask. This one is a little different from what was recommended, but it works very well. It surprisingly stays in place all night & is very comfortable. The little sandbags are kind of soothing. I didn't use the snaps which keep it attached the the (included) pillowcase. Seemed unnecessary.
