**Q: how effective is it with gophers? since gophers only briefly and occasionally come above ground I would not expect it to be effective.**
A: It repels (pocket) gophers quite well but needs to be reapplied every 4-6 weeks, or when signs of new activity reappear. I mix with kitty litter (the cheapest kind) about 1 cup oil to 8 parts litter. Takes about a day to be fully adsorbed, then spread like fertilizer where you want the gophers gone from. Water it in, it works underground. Gophers don't like it and leave within a day or two.

**Q: Before using castor oil lawn care, what is the reccommended mixture ratio?

A: One gallon water, one cup castor oil, one cup Dawn dishwashing detergent.  You can substitute for Dawn, but I like it best.

**Q: Is this scented?**
A: I purchased over a year ago now and it smells rancid to me now, but not sure how it smelled last year. I bought when I thought I had moles, only to find out is was armidillos.
