I'd planned on wearing this to a religious event so I sized up in the hopes that it wouldn't fit me the same way. Unfortunately my plan didn't work. It still hugs my hips more than I would like. I think this is due to a combination of the crochet material (which just naturally wants to pull together) and the fact that I think this skirt just runs slightly small (the waist was not any looser as I would expect in a larger size) I realize this is probably not an issue for most, but now I'm on the fence as to whether or not to keep it since I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable wearing it to the event I'd originally planned. Otherwise the skirt is very beautiful, and the lining comes down far enough that I don't feel exposed through the lace of the crochet pattern.
