Any way to solve the issue?** A: Not sure why they smell like tires or have a chemical odor (maybe because its rubber?). It does seem to smell less almost 2 weeks later but they do still smell. Not sure if washing will help but it's worth a shot. **Q: What is in the box for the standard box set w/ cymbal & bass? specifically, how many cymbal mutes come with it? thank you.** A: The standard box set includes mute sizes to fit 12-13-16 Inch toms, a 14 Inch snare, a cymbal mute, a 20 Inches ride mute, a 14 Inches hi-hat mute and the size adjustable soundoff bass mute. **Q: My two hanging toms have sizes of 10" and 12", will these still work?** A: The 12" pad will work with the 12" tom, but you'll need to purchase a separate pad for the 10", or if you're not using the 13" or 14" pad you could cut it down to size. **Q: They slide off the drum head. How Can I keep them in place other than duct tape messing up the head surface?** A: Huh. I've never had that problem, but I keep my drum heads at a relatively flat angle, and my hoops have always had sufficient height to hold these pads on. They aren't really meant to adhere to a really steep drum with low hoops, if that is your set up. You could try elastic or adjustable velcro ties to wrap around the drums, over the edges of the head where you would be less likely to strike regularly. Or, use a tape that could stick to the rims, but not the head - but I am not sure what would work that wouldn't leave a residue on the rim, either. Getting taller hoops is probably a tough fix, and you might not want tall hoops if playing without these pads on.
