## Description

Since 1850, Emile Henry has produced in France a large range of high quality ceramic cooking utensils. With a 10 year guarantee, our products are made from natural materials and have been designed and manufactured in France, in Southern Burgundy. Controlled production, without waste, is part of our daily commitment: the CO2 expelled from our workshops is particularly low thanks to our modern firing techniques that require less energy. The waste in general is recycled and the water used in production is filtered and used again in the production process. Our dishes have always been produced in France, in Marcigny in the south of Burgundy: it is a tradition and savoir-faire which has been handed down from generation to generation. Each worker prepares his moulds, produces his dishes and signs each one with his initials. We are proud of this responsibility entrusted to each of our workers, which is a pledge of quality for all our production. Our Potato Pot allows you to cook all kinds of vegetables at a low temperature (potatoes, chestnuts, etc.) bringing out their delicate flavours while keeping their natural characteristics. Made from Flame ceramic, it can be used on all types of hob: gas, electric and halogen (with an induction disk for induction hobs) and in the oven. Its spherical shape is designed to diffuse the heat gently and evenly. When used on the hob, turn it over every 15 minutes: your vegetables will be tasty, and potatoes will be soft with a crispy skin. All Emile Henry products are made in France and offer a ten years guarantee.

Review: I would buy it again and again - I have 7 Emile Henry pieces now and I love them all, you really can’t go wrong. The all perform as promised, I have not used this bread/potato pot for potatoes but I do use it to make sourdough Bread 2-3 times a week. I prefer this pot to the bread cloche since it’s smaller and easier to handle, I love the texture of the bread that comes out of the piece. Since the bowl is round and can withstand temperature change I let it proof in the fridge then it goes straight into the oven, one less bowl to clean. I also love that the interior is all glazed, I find that the glaze makes clean up easier and keeps the pot looking new and he red is beautiful. I believe I got this when it was on sale for $99, I think it was worth every penny, I really don’t use my bread cloche anymore for my round loaves. The cons are that it is more fragile than cast iron and my first one arrived with a broken handle but now that it has been replaced it is perfect. I would like another one in my future.
Review: What a difference it makes - I was beginning to think I needed a new oven. I've been making sourdough and no matter what I tried it always was too dark on the bottom. I use the book Flour Water Salt Yeast and it mentioned Emile Henry pans. So I finally decided to try it. Wow what a difference. The first loaf came out perfectly. Now they all do and I don't need a new oven!!! So excited to share my bread without being embarrassed over the bottom. Cookie sheets and baking stones didn't make a difference with my Dutch ovens. Now I don't need them either

## Features

- Perfect for no-knead & sourdough- the covered pot is made for the wet, high-hydration doughs that give artisan bread its character; holds a 3–4 cup flour recipe.
- SAFE TO USE IN THE OVEN, ON TOP OF THE STOVE or ON BBQ GRILLS. Can be used in all types of ovens and also used under the broiler. Can go directly from the Freezer to the Oven or microwave right to the table.
- Bakes and roasts- use it as a covered roasting pot for meats, vegetables, and braises, too.
- Lighter than cast iron- easier and safer to handle in and out of a hot oven, with no seasoning ever required. EASY TO CLEAN. Dishwasher Safe or hand wash with soap and water.
- Our products can be used at a temperature of 500°C/930°F and are highly resistant to thermal shocks: you can take your dish from the freezer (-20°C/0°F) and put it directly in a hot oven. What's more, its capacity to retain the heat means that the food stays hot for longer on the table.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really recommend this if you can handle the price tag and bake a fair amount of bread.

After six months and countless loaves of bread I must say that I’m very satisfied. The red is gorgeous though it turns a darker burgundy when heated. Goes right back to the original color when it’s cooled. This Dutch oven is fairly heavy and feels solid and substantial like the passing-down-generations oven it is. OK Cut to the chase - it cooks bread beautifully and consistently with a perfect crust. I really recommend this if you can handle the price tag and bake a fair amount of bread.
