One arrived completely smashed, staining the other bottle red. Who can fix this?** A: I would search for a solution through Amazon Customer Service. Can this hot sauce compare to Tabasco?** A: There are not many hot sauces that compare with Tabasco, however, if you are looking for a bit of heat, try the HOT version of the Firelli sauce, they make two. The original one pictured is a wonderful, tasty, mild sauce that will remind you of sweet red bell pepper with a limited, if any, amount of heat and in no way would compare with Tobasco. You can use it on eggs and chicken, but it is awesome on pizza. My new favorite hot sauce for just about everything! *by W***R on March 30, 2023* After you have tried this, the traditional 'grocery hot sauces' taste like pepper-flavored water! I would put this up there with the Tabasco Smoked Chipotle variety as the best overall hot sauce I have tasted. Full disclosure, I am NOT about the heat when it comes to hot sauce. If you are the type of person who enjoys hot sauce with the name 'reaper', 'nuclear', 'screaming' or 'apocalyptical' in the title ... and you enjoy hot sauce that makes you tear up and grab for water ... this is not for you. This mixes sweetness (it contains balsamic vinegar) and heat (Calabrian peppers) together for what I'd call a mild-sweeter hot sauce.I discovered this at a 5-star resort I was staying at ... the bottle looks very classy and is what first drew my attention. After trying it on an omelet, I was hooked. This makes my homemade chili absolutely pop and you can even use it in pasta sauces or drizzled on french fries for a little sweet zing of flavor. I used to use Frank's Red Hot, Tabasco or other such sauces ... but this is much thicker and the flavor profile is more layered and deep.The only thing I'd change is the size of the bottle. Because of its shape, it really doesn't contain a lot of sauce ... and I use quite a bit of this. I go through a bottle every couple weeks! I would prefer a bigger bottle because it is about 2 - 3x the price of your average grocery store hot sauce ... I have not tasted anything quite like it, so it is worth the extra money to me. It is very similar to Tabasco's Smoked Chipotle sauce, in that it's on the thicker side for a hot sauce ... but it replaces the smoked flavor with a sweeter one.The ingredients seem pretty high quality and there aren't too many artificial flavorings, colors and preservatives here. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? For me, yes. The bottle/packaging are beautiful and make the table look classy ... the taste is fantastic ... the value is average but again, you pay for quality.
