You could definitely tell these were made from mushrooms and had a more tender texture, but overall found it really enjoyable and liked the smoky flavor! My favorite flavor was the Sea Salt. I'll be ordering again! ### ⭐ Not my cup of tea *by K***W on June 10, 2022* As a mushroom lover, I've been trying out different brands of mushroom jerky just to see what's out there and I came across this brand.I've tried a few brands now, but this has to have been the most awful tasting mushroom jerky I've ever had. I got the best sellers variety pack that came with the following flavors: hickory smokehouse, maple mustard, and sea salt and cracked peppercorn. Having tried the 3 flavors, I would rank hickory smokehouse to be the worst of the three and sea salt with cracked pepper to be the best tasting.Hickory smokehouse is just terrible! I usually hate wasting food, but I just couldn't bring myself to finish this bag. I would have to agree with one other reviewer that this flavor tastes like how wet cigarettes smell. The smoke flavor is way too heavy and it's like you're eating straight up char. I'm not sure others would agree with me on this, but I actually prefer a softer chewier texture to mushroom jerky, so the hard leathery texture of this pack was not doing any extra favors for it. I felt bad for just tossing the entire bag in the trash after a few bites, but it was THAT BAD.The other 2 flavors were more tolerable and the texture of both maple mustard and sea salt were more preferable for me too. They weren't good, but they were not as bad as the hickory smokehouse either. These two were just "mehh."The types of mushroom they use for these jerkys are crimini and portobello. I usually like to try the orginal or least seasoned packs of jerky first to get a good idea of how the mushrooms would taste as they are, unseasoned. I find that crimini and portobello would not be my first choice when it comes to types of mushrooms used for jerky, but because of that, this might contribute to my opinion of this brand of jerky.
