## Description

When you use fishpond’s all-new headgate tippet dispenser, you will wonder why no one has thought of anything like it before. The spring loaded hinge design allows an angler to easily add, remove and carry most tippet spools with ease. Just clip it on somewhere close and forget about the days of fishing through your waders, vest or pack searching for those loose spools. Dropped your nippers on the hike in? Not to worry, the Headgate also features a built in cutting blade for ultimate convenience.

Review: Great Tippet Spool Holder - I previously had just a roll of tippet spools that were "clipped" using the built in hubs. Problem is that when I had to buy a spool that was not the same brand that did not work as hubs were not compatible. Then I used my handy handyman skills and built a tippet spool holder using some shock cord and some home made plastic washers. That worked fine but there was no way to attach it to my vest. So I decided to put down the bucks and buy the FishPond Headgate. Boy is this thing nice. It is shiny, very well built (like all FishPond products), you can adjust it to keep spools nice and tight together even when you have different brands of tippet and you can clip it easily on and off your vest. Best thing that I like is the built in cutter - when I am using this on my drift boat I don't need to use my nippers or my teeth (which makes my dentist very happy). Yeah, it seems like a lot of money but this is the best tippet holder I have found. I am really happy I bought this and I am sure you will be too.
