Make sure you have all the necessary tools before attempting and I would recommend sticking to the guide on ifixit.comThe only down side I would have to say is that it uses extreme rates soft touch kind of paint/coat (convinced it's just spray paint) which on the joycon shells tend to smudge or smear after the soft touch coat wears off.
