**Q: Can I purchase the same type of batteries to use to if needed for continuous power?**
A: Apologies, Shaun J., but i'm confused by the question.  The light uses two 18650A Li-ion batteries (3.7v 7.4Wh 2000mAh each included with my purchase).  Those are available to purchase separately and can be used with any device that uses this style battery, or to use to change out when pre-charged as extended power backup with the AlpsWolf lantern.  These 18650A Li-ion batteries are longer than D and C akaline batteries, and smaller in diameter than C, but have the same form as to + & - using spring loaded contacts.
Please clarify further if you still need info. :-)

A: I agree the great flashlight and I bought 3 of them before they went out of stock. I hope they get them in for you.

A: The AlpsWolf Multi-Functional Search Light ("Camping Lantern") uses two 18650A Li-ion batteries (mine came with two 3.7v 2000mAh ea).  They are located under a green cover (under the main handle) that snaps off (3 inside lip clips on each side).
