The bottles are plastic, which isn't my preference, but I understand it keeps shipping costs down, as well as preventing breakage in shipping. They may weigh less, but they are the same amount as the glass bottles I've always bought. The amount you get hasn't downsized at all, at least not yet. This has a sweet Irish cream flavor with no corn syrup. I used to use Starbucks caramel syrup in my coffee, but when it became difficult to find (not to mention too expensive), I switched to the Torani caramel. But the caramel just had too much of a caramel edge to it. Now I mix a bottle of half Irish cream and half caramel, both Torani, and get that creamy caramel flavor I was hoping for.
