Review: Poetic writing style, very calming to read before naptime/bedtime - This book surprised me and I now understand why so many people rave about the writing. Every section of the book rhymes and flows like you’re reading a poem and the sketch-like images are perfect accompaniment to the words. It shows the world as an exciting, exhilarating place to explore while also showing how the world can be a gloomy or quiet at times. When read in soft, breathy tones, it instantly calms my son down and he pays attention to the book. This started as early as 3 months and continues at 6 months of age.
