Authored with Keith Dixon, this book offers fans an intimate look at Robinson’s commitment, leadership, and personal insights into the beautiful game. ## Description ROBBO epitomises what true football fans want from every player that pulls on their teams shirt: total commitment to the cause, 100% effort and a neversay- die attitude. There are a number of footballers who suffer abuse from opposition supporters based on their reputation deserved or otherwise, but given the chance those very same fans would love to have them in their team Robbo is one of that number. Born and bred in Watford, Robbo came through the ranks at Watford FC, making over 200 appearances for his local team during a seven season stint at the club. He then had sucessful spells at West Brom and Bolton. Robbo joined his present club, Birmingham City in September 2012 on a one month contract. His performances for the Blues were good enough for him to be rewarded with a contract extension to June 2015 plus being handed the captains armband. ROBBO UNSUNG HERO pulls no punches as writer Keith Dixon has spent many hours with Paul Robinson finding out the man, what makes him tick and his opinion on our great game! Review: Brilliant read about a genuine sportsman - Brilliant read about a genuine sportsman, leader and family man. Whether you support Watford, West Brom, Bolton or Birmingham or just a football fan, this book gives a good insight into Paul Robinson the man. Review: Worst football book I've ever read. It's going straight to the bin. - What a dreadful book. Semi-literate, confused, inaccurate. When he gets his manager wrong on page 17, you wonder about the accuracy of everything in here. Then, near the end, he describes his full England match, when he was an unused substitute in Turkey, you really do wonder. Paul Robinson never got near the full England side, but this book goes as far as listing the line-ups and match details. Do you remember sitting on the bench in Turkey, Paul? No? That's because the Paul Robinson concerned is the goalkeeper! The book claims to be by "Paul Robinson with Keith Dixon." Well, was it? Who checked this particular 'fact?' I've read some pretty dreadful football books in my time, but this is probably the worst. The text drifts from first person narrative to what is presumably comments by Dixon, to other people's match reports, with any demarcation between them. Gives self-publishing (there's no trace of any editing from DB Publihing to be seen) a bad name. ## Features - Item Category: Abis Book - Item Trademark: DB Publishing - manufacturer: DB Publishing ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 6 Reviews | ## Images ![DB Publishing "Robbo" - Unsung Hero: The Autobiography of Paul Robinson - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51rxJMcKBYL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant read about a genuine sportsman *by A***S on 28 May 2015* Brilliant read about a genuine sportsman, leader and family man.
