It just arrived, and all this amateur can say is, what a sweet little old knife! Its operation is as smooth as can be, it is small and lightweight, a real gem. I do not want a collection. I have 10 other Spyderco’s, the Sage 5 being my 11th. By far the most under rated Spyderco. The action is so smooth it’s hard in explain until you experience it for yourself. The compression lock is my favorite type of lock. There isn’t one hot spot on this knife, it just feel so natural and so good in the hand. I would recommend this knife to anyone, wether you are someone like me who owns 10 Plus Spyderco’s or someone who is purchasing their first folding knife. I wear a large size glove at work (hvac installer) and this knife has aVery natural feel in the hand. Good finger choil and jimping on choil and top side of blade. And for deployment Smoother than a babies bum. Pivot bushing and bronze washers.
