Building my first Hardline rig I needed a pump with G1/4 threads this was my choice.Received the item with scratches on the motor, oh well. Res is high quality, barb fitting is throw away, pump is nice and chunky but fairly compact.Moves a TON of water with a ton of pressure slightly noisy at full speed, but with proper pump isolation (mounting on soft foam) it's very tolerable. Purchase a PWM controller to make it nearly silent.My main gripe is it does start at low rpm and rotor balance could be better.UPDATE: After modifying the mounting setup using foam and moon gel, I have it performing at around 25db, the pump seems to be running quieter with less vibration since first installed, and RPM's seem higher, motor runs stone cold, and I idle at 2C above ambient on a Ryzen 1700X.Overall VERY pleased. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works like a friggen champ! *by K***N on March 16, 2017* Pump works great, no leaks. Pushes serious water with really good flow. Its quiet, I have mine mounted to outside of case while I'm doing my leak testing and its only 20 inches from my head right now and its barely audible with my fan going on the radiator. If i had more space in case id recommend a bigger reservoir as getting bubbles out of system before being sucked up again will be difficult. I may invert the reservoir to have the return line feed into the water or I may get a Y splitter and do two return lines to slow flow back into tank, or another loop for gpu/memory, pump certainly has enough push for another loop.Also I'm missing a cap (picture shows two) as of right now the top is wide open(minus one star other wise it'd be five). Theoretically i should buy a silver bullet cap for the open port and have it do double duty as anti microbial. Also some thing to consider that the fittings to connect to tubing are slightly smaller than the "standard". Either buy extra fittings or choose tubing carefully, I went with tubing out of a fuel siphon kit(7.98 at wal-fart) and warmed the ends up to go over the standard fittings and used hose clamps from wal-fart(2.98$) to go over the pump fittings to ensure no leaks.Way, way, way cheaper than some alternatives that have to be bought in pieces(d5 are like double or triple the cost and that's just the pump nothing else) and then assembled. Not much in the way of customization but this pump is going in a Frankenstein build in a getawey case so looks aren't important to me. Not that it ain't great looking. Probably gona hit it with some spray paint to brighten it up once I get a more desirable/fancy case. Only thing id ask for in this product is a sata power cable instead of the molex so I wouldn't have to use an adapter.*update*moved in/out ports around and system cleared of air in about 10-15 minutes. Once i got the in/out ports in the right spot, the baffle in the system would let the bubbles rise to the surface rather than being sucked back into pump.Note when bleeding system its easier to have a spare power supply to toggle the pump off and on quickly to upset air in the system. I used a staple to jumper the power/ground on the atx cable off and on, then when most of the air was gone left it in place for it to run awhile with out having to fire up main computer supply. ### ⭐ 2 weeks later, pump is rattling. *by F***T on January 9, 2018* After a couple of weeks running this pump/res combo, the pump is making a loud rattling noise. It's a shame because it otherwise was very good for the money.
