I had a quite expensive Big Ben tobacco pipe that clearly wasn't prepped well before they painted it, not wanting to waste money on a pipe that smoked well I chanced giving this a go on the exterior of the pipe only. Prepped, cleaned and sprayed with 2 solid coats and all I can say is wow, it holds up to pipe smoking heat easily and looks the mutts nuts.
