Review: Did the Job - Used this to replace a split valve stem on my van. The valve was easy to install and seemed to be doing the job, but there turned out to be a leak from the valve core which was not tightened enough inside the valve stem. This was obviously a very easy fix but make sure to order a valve core tool with this kit to check the core is tight before using. Otherwise, this has been on my van for a few months now with no issues, would definitely recommend carrying these as a spare if going on long trips or travelling off road

**Q: What is the total length of the valve stem and the length from the rim to the end of the valve cap threads after installation?**
A: On my side by side the total length is about 3/4"

**Q: When using this as a permanent stem, do I need to worry about the old broken rubber piece still inside the tire? This is my only concern.**
A: No a couple of grams of rubber rolling around in there will not hurt anything.

**Q: Are these compatible with an ARB rapid deflate tool?**
A: I don’t know if they allow rapid deflate.  The stems are only used for an emergency valve stem replacement until a regular stem can be installed.

**Q: Will beet juice (rim guard) affect the rubber on these valves?**
A: I have used it on 3 differt tpye of rims. If you have clear access to get the new stem in and a socked on it it will work

Used this to replace a split valve stem on my van. No one should ever need to visit a tire store (or bike shop) for a defective/busted/leaking valve stem. These things are great and easily install in minutes. Forget about the "emergency" version, just get these and don't pay no mind to the orphaned valve remnant banished to a short life of bouncing around inside your tire. Make sure you have both a 1/2" socket and wrench handy for easy installation - start with the socket, and finish with the wrench (at least on bikes, a deep socket may not offer clearance for the final tightening).
