The Fromm Illinois 127 is a pretty decent budget friendly option, a little fast with low draw before it's broken in or treated but I like that and it has a linen strop as well. I wouldn't pass on this strop though as I found it to be great quality and I viewed it as I'm buying the crom. Oxide and getting a bonus small strop with it. Even if you buy a razor strop buying the green crom. Oxide is a good idea and this imo is the way to go. I personally use very old denim pants legs for the compound rather than using it on my strops. I would love to have a 20"-23" strop made from the leather I received with this order and in a pinch or travelling I would consider using this one it just takes some time and patience considering its size.
