Horizontal can be easily moved from factory installed left side to the right side by removing a few screws and pulling A frame out then move pan and slide A frame back in and screw on the 2 supports. If laid on left no mod is needed. **Q: How long a lineset will I need?** A: You will need enough line to connect the air handler to the condenser. **Q: Is there a longer precharged lineset and will the longer longest affect efficiency?** A: Yes, we offer this unit with 25ft, 35 ft or 50 ft linesets, and no, the efficiency is not affected by the longer lineset. **Q: Is the lineset 3/8 & 3/4 for additional lineset?** A: Yes, this uses 3/8 - 3/4 linesets. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DIY, Maybe? *by J***W on August 9, 2023* I used this to replace a central gas furnace located under the house standing vertical. Heater was sitting on a concrete pad controlled by Nest Thermostat. House built 1979, flat roof, elevated floor, perimeter foundation, on mild slope, climate zone 7. Upon arrival all was well packaged on pallet wrapped and boxed. Quality of equipment (unprofessional opinion) seemed exceptional. Everything was well wrapped, all wires were well managed. Brass fittings, insulation on linesets seemed very high quality.Prework, do your homework well before ordering. There are a lot of factors you should consider before ordering or considering DIY. Do you have enough electrical capacity, can you wire 2 disconnects one for the air handler and one for heat pump (I didn’t have any disconnects). If your current equipment is being removed does the new equipment fit in the same space and if operates differently do you have the space to change configuration. How long of a line set do you require, do you require a new thermostat wire (7 wire is required) and is your current thermostat compatible.Install air handler: I needed to remove the gas heater, remove the gas line, remove old pad, create space and pour new pad. Luckily I had assistance from a licensed electrician during this install or I would not have considered DIY. Pulled new 8/2 to disconnect exterior where heat pump is located. 12/3 for air handler disconnect. Since air handler is bottom intake for return (previous was side intake) I needed to make a box for the intake which the air handler would be mounted to. Since this makes the air handler much taller needed to make significant changes to air collector plenum. Requiring cutting old plenum and resealing it since it was previously poorly sealed. My signal wire for the thermostat was 5 wire so I needed to pull a new 7 wire.Heatpump: Due to the land and underground water main I decided to mount to the side of my house. I ordered a mount that would support a lot more than weight spec. However when it arrived it was grossly under built. Made a new mount using Unistrut which can consume a considerable amount of time. Run line set: to plan I used solid copper wire to plan route and bends beforehand and if I have any extra length where it would be kept. Run your control wire to air handler and connect to your disconnect.Plenum required significant work including air sealing, insulation and trimming. I am not sure if I would consider this a DIY as it would likely be beyond a lot of people that would consider themselves “handy”. All in all I am very happy with the delivery, quality and result along with a significant savings of a DIY project. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great system and savings *by 8***3 on May 8, 2025* So far, so good. Install was relatively straight Fourways l forward once we determined the new L1 and L2 lines. The wiring diagram was not updated in the book but the internet had the answers. This thing really blows hard! Thinking to drop it to the 4 ton setting but overall, very happy with the purchase, install and huge cost savings of a conventional HVAC install. ### ⭐ DO NOT BUY FROM JACKS SMALL ENGINES!!! *by G***S on January 30, 2025* I am out $5K over a furnace I can't use. Jacks claim a 30 day refund/replace policy but don't believe it. I mistakenly purchased this without doing enough research and from false info on this Amazon page. I admit that was mostlymy fault. I sent a return request twice and was told they would send they're respond within 48 hours. I have received absolutely nothing from them.
