I have no idea if this would last outdoors in the elements. **Q: Is the mouth deep enough to put a very small flower arrangement?** A: At its deepest point the dish part is about 2½" deep. **Q: is this food safe?** A: I use for candi and if I do chips lay a napkin in it.
