The knock off charger really stunk since they did a poor job with it, and I wanted something else to use when I put it on my shelf to charge, without having to buy apple's charger.Looking at the pictures I couldn't figure out how the charger cable fit, since someone else's review mentioned a "cut out" and clearly there was no cutout. But the inner space at the bottom that the ipad rests on is shallow from side to side, so the ipad rests on it on the front edge, but still has room underneath to have the charger cable sitting right there (I posted pictures to show just how it fits).It's a nice, non slip feel when it's sitting in the stand, and the stand is a nice, solid piece of metal. Non-slip grips on the bottom protect whatever surface you have it on.Only thing to be aware of is when putting it in or pulling it out, to NOT tip it since it's very easy to scratch things up on the bottom back of the ipad if you slide it along the metal of the back brace.The space in the back "leg" is narrower than the ipad charging cable end, so it's easy to run the cable through there, and then let that keep it from falling behind the bookshelf this is on when the charger isn't in use. Would've been nice if they had a slight notch in the bottom of that backrest that the cable could've fit in though, but not enough of a concern to knock off a star.Really like the product. My ipad looks good on there, and now my son, who has my original first generation ipad, wants one of these stands for HIS since it looks so much nicer there than his looks in the apple dock. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Best choice for iPad support *by W***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2010* The A-frame is a solidly built, quality product. The rubberized, no-slip spots are in just the right places. The only way to make the A-frame move is to hit it or push it with adequate force. Or, perhaps, set it on a block of ice. Point is: as long as you put it on a decent surface, it's not going anywhere once you set it up with the iPad on it. You can also lay it down and have the built-in software keyboard at a very decent angle for typing.It has a rubberized slot for the iPad to sit in, too. So long as you're careful to set the iPad in the rubberized "trench," it's not going to slide off. It won't stain or mar the iPad; it's a nice, clean support.The iPad sits well both in portrait and landscape modes. Using the charger cable with it is no problem at all. (Anyone expecting it to work with the iPad dock is smoking something funny: it's not *designed* to do that.) So long as the A-frame is set at a proper ergonomic height - as intended by design - there's nothing to disappoint. Use it appropriately and you'll fall in love with it.Add (as I did) a couple of accessories and you'll be even more impressed. For example: I also bought a Griffin Flexgrip, which gives the iPad some protection and a nice rubberized grip. Put the iPad in the Flexgrip, set the iPad in the A-frame, and the iPad's not going to slip - even when tilting the iPad/A-frame combo on the desk at about a 45-65 degree angle! Throw in an Apple bluetooth keyboard, and you get the perfect combination for typing long documents - or reviews, like this one.I'm using the A-frame the way it was intended - at a nice ergonomic height - and I'm just thrilled.I can't think of a single thing that's wrong with the A-frame. The design and materials are awesome. Big mistake! Received a poorly used item, seller should have listed this as "used - poor condition" not "refurbished". The metal parts of the item are scratched and has scuff marks all over, also missing the rubber foot of the back stand. I have to return it for a refund, a $9.50 item for a $5.00 postage at my own expense. I would have keep it if it wasn't such an eyesore.
