We thought it was because we let the grass get too high in some parts of our acreage and the mower struggled through there. We decided to just order one from desertcart. It came and my husband put it on, and now we see that the John Deere one's were too tight! At least this brand has some give, so hopefully there is no strain that causes snapping.
