Mount posts are sketchy but it's a solid machine. **Q: can you use this to make bedpost legs?** A: No. This lathe is entirely too small for bedpost legs. This is for very small projects like chess pieces or something like that. **Q: Can this be used for pen turning?** A: The lath is more of a polisher or sander. The tool rest is not wide enough to really do pen work.
