A: Standard Kuru Toga pencils rotate the lead once every 40 strokes, while the Kuru Toga Advance rotates the lead once every 20 strokes. The Advance's mechanism is made with metal parts for smoother, more reliable performance.

**Q: Can you see the rotation through the grip holes?**
A: No, but if you remove the tip and the external bezel, you can see the whole mechanism in a transparent plastic tube (It is really nice). Then there you can note the mechanism moving while you use it.

**Q: what kind of erasers do I need to use to refill the pencil when low?**
A: Advance models use size "S" refills
