I'd call them more of a pinky mauve color. But that being said, WE LOVE THESE SHOES! My 14 month old daughter can't get them off which is always great. They aren't super heavy so walking in them came easy for her. The color is great (though not nude) so these go with just about any outfit. They look a lot more cheap in person than on the page (and I'm not sure what's going on with the laces - they feel like a cheap twine that's stiff and uncomfortable to tie). Onto the size - my daughter currently wears a size 8 (purchased last fall); I've been purchasing all of her "new" shoes in a 9 to accommodate growth. This has been working pretty well for most of the shoes we've acquired for the upcoming season. These shoes, however, would be perfect if she was enrolling into a toddler clown school. They are HUGE - too big, too wide and they look just ridiculous on her feet. I'm hoping maybe she'll grow into them some day, because I do think they are cute enough to wear.
