Buy it already. I delidded my 8700k and used this between the IHS and die, and it lowered temps drastically. And there's a ton left over for future needs.After installing the 8700k in the socket, I then used the best thermal paste out there (that's not a liquid metal) between the IHS and Monoblock, and that's Coollaboratory's Kryonaut according to De8auer. I wouldn't use this stuff between your CPU cooler, whatever it may be, and the CPU. I'm not sure if that will be worth it.As for applying this liquid metal to whatever you're using it on.... less is more! You want to squeeze the tiniest little dot you can make with the syringe needle on this, and then spread it out with a cue tip or what have you. You do NOT want to use as much liquid metal as you do normal thermal paste. It was easy to apply (I masked off the cpu wafer with tape to protect while applying to the cpu die). My average decrease was 20c on the cores under load. This may not be a "big name brand" liquid metal but I'm very pleased and think it was a major bargain for what I received. The product DOES come in a insulin needle with cap on the end for safety, so use caution when handing it. I personally think this helped only a small amount come out at a time - you don't want it spraying all over!I'd highly recommend this to anyone who's going to delid their CPU.
