GREAT ITEM!
Have been looking for this item for years and finally found replacement pens for my mom's old one - she uses to write with gold on ceramics - Great item!

Will work for car paint chip repair... but consider the larger bore version.
Don't spend $50 for this products competitor. Its a $10 tool all day long. The fine pen gets clogged and with car hood paint chip correction have some thinner ready to make it work. That said, by the end of my experience i was simply dipping the end into the paint and using it like a quill after the paint reservoir had clogged. It worked and it was cheaper than the 'hyped' version. If i had to do it again i wouldn't get the fine though. Good luck with your decision.

This is a great tool.. you just have to get your medium right!
This is great for applying a fine line. If it's not coming out, your medium is not thin enough or you need to work out the air bubbles. This is a must have tool in my paint shop!

Didn't work with any medium I tried.
The most I was able to get out of this was 3 letters probably the size of a typical signature and that only happened once. I tried different options and nothing produced more than a few millimeters of color. The needle tool that came with it broke within 10 minutes of use. I was able to get it consistently unclogged using soap and water as I tried different paints. No matter how thick or thin or what type of medium I was using I had no luck. Even tried mixing powdered colorant with oil instead of water. Great idea but didn't work at all for me.
