It's very difficult to figure out how to use these correctly. However it is worth sticking with it. I noticed an immediate and huge quality difference in the sound and in the life of the strings. I play the baritone so two of my strings are wound, and they always seem to bite into the bridge of my uke. These fix that problem beautifully ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seriously, GET THESE if you have a tie-string bridge *by �***� on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2021* These beads make restringing my Córdoba ukulele a breeze. Plus, they distribute pressure more evenly across the bridge, which prevents the strings from digging into the bridge like they would otherwise.The beads come with a spare in case you lose one, plus detailed and easily understandable instructions written (thankfully) by a native English speaker, with LOTS of photos.Just follow the instructions and photos, go slowly, and you'll be fine. After you restring with one of these beads, the next ones will be easier.I have my uke strung low G, and I only needed to loop my G and C strings through these beads once to get them to stay. However, for my E and A strings, I double-wrapped them through these beads for extra stability.I've had no issues whatsoever since installing these. My uke sounds great, and all my gig partners who play plucked-string instruments have noticed and asked me about them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes your life - and instrument sound - BETTER! *by N***K on Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2019* I just installed a set on one of my solid wood baritone ukuleles. When I shopped for these, I thought they were over-priced, and I went looking for craft beads to use instead, but could not find anything to square up against the tie bar, remain off of the sound board, and have a proper size hole to hold knots of varying size (so that the knot would not pull through the bead hole under tension). So, I ordered a set, and just today when I needed a string change, I used them. Upon inspection, I see why they are pricey - very precise, probably difficult to manufacture, get the dies correctly made, etc. I thought the instructions were not perfectly clear (old dog, new tricks), so I called to make sure I had the correct understanding, and Pat walked me thru the process. Once the first bead was on, easy! Obvious benefits are that the beads distribute pressure evenly across the tie-bar, and prevent the strings from digging into the wood; and they let the bridge form a better angle for the strings going up to the saddle. Not so obvious, but it's true: the strings come to pitch faster because there is not so much "give" as the typical knots allow, the sound is noticeably better because of the solid contact, and I found the intonation of the instrument to be better -probably for the same reason. I'm sold on these and will be ordering another set for my other tie-block baritone uke. Great product! Pricey, but worth every bit!
