The fit can be adjusted at the neck and belly to make it larger or smaller, but it was just right for us right out of the package. It attaches both by Velcro and buckle at the neck and belly. It's a little difficult to get ON my dog, he has a severe case of the "just absolutely cannot sit stills", so it takes several minutes for us to get it on him, but once it's on it's super helpful. The pockets on both sides are spacious, we walk at night so I can make him hold the flashlight, my phone, some poop bags, some treats, a collapsible water bowl, and there's still plenty of room for more stuff. It seems like it's made well, we have only used it a few times as it's getting to be very hot outside so I don't want to make him exert more energy and be hotter, but it still looks brand new all over. We'll use it a lot more in the winter.
