Small touchups on trim.** A: I suppose they would, for small touchups, using acrylic-based house paint. **Q: Does the paint chip off the hdoes the paint chip off the handle? handle?** A: I have this set of brushes and love them. Rock painting is my artistic outlet. I have never had any paint chip off the handles. These are good quality brushes and I love them. I now coat my stones with mod podge with one of these brushes because it doesn't leave streaks like the sponges do. I clean them with soft soap or dish soap, reshape them and stand them up in a cup to dry. This set was a great bargain! **Q: are these more on the soft side (suitable for watercolor) or more on the stiffer side (suitable for heavy body acrylics?) Looking for stiffer brush.** A: I use these for painting rocks with acrylic and love them. I don't believe these are a watercolor type of brush, however, haven't searched for those type of brushes. Found on the internet that watercolor brushes are usually made out of different material than these Nylon Brushes.
