I wore this to work a Pride event; it was around 100 degrees all day, and I was there for about eight hours. I used this generously on my body and reapplied often. At the hottest point of the day, I did do an application with my usual Supergoop since it's a little stronger. And I did not have even a HINT of a sunburn! I'm so fair, most makeup companies don't make foundation light enough for me. And I was diligent about reapplying, and did rotate in a stronger SPF, but I'm honestly shocked I didn't get even a little red. This SPF helped keep me safe from the sun through hours of sweating, and I stayed sparkly and shimmery all day long! Once it dries down, the glitter/shimmer doesn't transfer. (It does contain with similar-sounding names - octisalate and octocrylene - neither of which has been banned in Hawaii). 2. Avobenzone, which is in our product, has not been banned in Hawaii. This product is in fact fully compliant with Hawaii's Bill 2571, which went into effect on Jan 1, 2021 and bans the sale of (non-prescription) sunscreens containing Oxybenzone and Octinoxate. Extra bonus, my 8 year old niece (who tolerates getting slathered in SPF bc that’s just part of life) is ALL ABOUT THIS STUFF. She was ready to put on Unicorn Snot in order to go to bed (we waited until the next day at my request), who doesn’t want to glitter?!?! It’s a little pricey for a pretty small (4.5oz) tube but it was worth it. Would 1,000% buy this as a fun little gifty, and if you’re buying gifts for your kids to give to other kids, this solves all of THOSE gift giving hassles, buy a few, stick them on the shelf in a gift bag and check that problem off your list!!
