Review: Leafing Pen, - Works well.
Review: It worked really well - I bought this pen to fix and brighten up the metal scarab that was attached to my Valentino bag. The scarab had scratches and while I was advised to get a new scarab piece from Italy I decided against it. The original coat on the piece is a matte gold unlike the metal on the strap so getting this shiny gold color was a good match. I took the scarab off, and gave it two coats. I let the metal piece set for 24 hours because I didn’t know how long it took to set. The finished job looks beautiful and it was so easy to use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work on metal? I want to paint an outside door lock that does not respond to brass polish.**
A: I used it for a metal purse clasp. The paint chipped off after regular use.

**Q: what do you seal this with?**
A: Since I usually use this product as a finishing touch I don't always seal it...but have used sifted on clear sealer used for stamping..sifted on with fine enamel sifter and heated to (circa) 300 degrees...as I do to seal my PolyShrink jewelry and make a shiny surface.

**Q: Will this write on dark paper ? Will the writing be clean and without smudges on either side of paper ?**
A: Yes, it should show up against a dark surface, but is not completely opaque, so you might need more than one coat if you want it really bright.  It probably does bleed through thin papers, although I have only used it on watercolor paper or on canvas.

**Q: can you use this on wood furniture?**
A: I have not use it on furniture, but it seems to be very adaptable to many surfaces, and I think it would work on furniture, thank you,

Purchased to make the gold in my mirror “pop” more. The gold really does look beautiful and gives a gold leaf effect. I used about half of one pen. Super easy to use! I actually ended up using it for some other smaller projects/decor that I was going to spray paint but decided this would be an easier experience. Added bonus: Dries fast! And obviously not made to have for months so I’d purchase/use within a month or so.
