Smartseal Block Magic is a premium 25L acrylic-based block paving sealer designed to recolour and protect outdoor block paving surfaces. Offering superior UV stability and stain resistance, it restores faded colours and shields against dirt, grime, and weather damage. With coverage of up to 75m² and a simple two-coat application, it delivers a durable, matte finish that transforms patios and driveways into eye-catching, long-lasting features.

## Description

Product Description Smartseal - Block Magic is a coloured block paving sealer, which will either change or restore the colour of your block paving. It's comprised of a blend of acrylic resins & liquid pigments which soak deep into paving completely renovating and adding protection to block paving patios and driveways. Everyday weather like sun and rain is one of the main culprits for loss of colouration on block paving, alongside pressure washing and vehicle usage. This is where Block Magic comes in, and works to replace that colour that has been lost. Smartseal Block Magic Application Guidelines Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris and 'muck' from joints. Leave paving to dry for 3-4 clear & dry days. Apply one coat of Block Magic with Roller. If you're changing the colour you may need to apply two coats (coverage in description) Leave Block Magic to fully cure, 1-2 clear and dry days. Re-sand surface area, with "kiln-dried sand". If you've only applied one coat then apply a coat of Smartseal Block Paving Sealer, this will protect the colour and harden the sand. How does the Block Magic work? Smartseal Block Magic Sealer adds colour to your block paving as well as providing a protective layer that will protect against all types of dirt, grime and staining. Always apply a second coat of sealer; either another coat of Block Magic or our Block Paving Sealer in Matt or Silk finish. Review: Soak your roller before you start. - I ordered 3 x cartons of dark grey for our patio, side path and front path (end house). Had a little bit left for tweaks. The smell is strong but as the job was outside it didn't affect me at all. It did drift into the house but soon disappeared. We fully prepped the areas then started with the transformation from tired cream 45cm pavers to a lovely grey, clean looking expanse. The result is fantastic! I did find that I needed to go over some of the pavers and the mortar joins in places. Where I had to do this has left a higher sheen than on the more general application of product. But it hasn't detracted from the overall effect. Soaking the roller before starting would've led to better, more even application. I did 2 coats over everything and on some pavers an additional coat (if needed). So easy to apply. 2nd coat moreso as the 1st coat gets absorbed into the pavers. Now the pavers aren't porous so when it rains the moisture sits on top of the pavers so I can sweep or mop it away. Winter time I'll use sand if icy. Buying 3 x cartons was definitely great value for money as it was roughly a £30 saving rather than buying 3 x separately ordered cartons. Great product all round. I highly recommend.

**Q: Why does it say '𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 2nd coat of clear sealer'? Do I need to buy a different sealer for the second coat?**
A: Two coats need to be applied. This can be coloured or clear sealer. The reason for recommending clear sealer is so that the new ‘clean, yellow’ sand between the joints is defined to look like at freshly laid drive or patio. Our ‘how to’ videos are worth a watch. **Q: Would this change the colour of imprinted concrete? Thanks**
A: It is not advisable to try and change the colour of imprinted concrete. Over use of coloured sealer can lead to peeling and flaking. We do not recommend the use block magic on imprinted concrete due to its high concentration of colour. I would suggest watching our “how to ‘imprinted concrete videos on Smartseal UK ltd YouTube channel. Hope that helps!

**Q: How much area 5 litre can cover if I am going to do two quotes as recommended?**

**Q: What is the reason the kiln sand is applied after the colour sealant but clear sealant can go on top of the kiln sand?**
A: The clear sealer is applied after block magic as a second layer of protection on the block paving. This leaves the sand visually defined in the joints, as though the paving has just been laid. Hope that helps. Regards Jake@Smartseal
