Running problem free for nearly 3 years now. - I've had this NAS for nearly 3 years now and have not experienced any problems. I have 2 other QNAP NASs and I like their web interface on the device for setup/configuration. QNAP support, at least as of a couple years ago, was quite helpful. They gave me good instructions to migrate over drives from an old QNAP NAS that had failed, after many years of use, and then upgrade all the drives to new, higher capacity drives, without losing any data. This is probably not a NAS for novice computer users, as there is a lot of stuff in the web interface and it's probably geared more toward small businesses. However, this is a good NAS for experienced/power users at home as well. QNAP also has an app for accessing files on you NAS remotely, when not home. ## Features - NAS Storage System offers maximum storage productivity with added dependability - Can hold 4 HDDs simultaneously - DDR4 SDRAM memory technology for desired storage efficiency with accuracy and precision - Perform computational tasks effectively accrediting the amd ryzen 2.20 ghz processor - Tower form factor is ideal for running internal applications, serving public websites or storing sensitive customer data with maximum productivity.2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Ethernet technology for increasing efficiency with the quicker transfer and sharing of information. It's qts 4.5.1 operating system offers powerful platform to efficiently run routine applications ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B092228MCV | | Best Sellers Rank | #61,311 in Computers ( See Top 100 in Computers ) #38 in Network Attached Storage (NAS) Devices | | Brand | QNAP | | Built-In Media | 1 x Ethernet Cable, 1 x Power Cord, 12 x Flat Head Screws (for 2. | | Color | black | | Colour | black | | Compatible Devices | Desktop | | Compatible devices | Desktop | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 235 Reviews | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 3 Years | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Type Name | NAS Storage System | | Item Weight | 5000 Grams | | Item weight | 5000 Grams | | Manufacturer | QNAP Systems | | Material | Metal | | Mfr Part Number | TS-473A-8G-US | | Model Number | TS-473A-8G | | Mounting Type | Floor Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Size | NAS | | UPC | 885022020935 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** QNAP - **Colour:** black - **Compatible devices:** Desktop - **Material:** Metal - **Size:** NAS ## Images ![QNAP TS-473A-8G SAN/NAS Storage System, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41OZigKv-lL.jpg) ![QNAP TS-473A-8G SAN/NAS Storage System, Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41LmVV76F5L.jpg) ![QNAP TS-473A-8G SAN/NAS Storage System, Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41zH0T2IMJL.jpg) ![QNAP TS-473A-8G SAN/NAS Storage System, Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41tGEW1UvfL.jpg) ![QNAP TS-473A-8G SAN/NAS Storage System, Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51KpPIudLfL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can this be a plex server?** A: Yes, it can be Plex Server, but it installs the Plex Server as a superuser or admin and can see/browse every folder in your NAS when you go to add libraries. Most other brands allow you to only let Plex see certain folders because it creates a separate Plex user. If you are using this for Plex only , there are cheaper alternatives. **Q: its 220v?** A: Yes 220 v **Q: Does the QNAP TS-473* support 20TB Disks like the Seagate X20?** A: It supports all the way up to 22TB as of writing this (which is the largest single drive size you can get right now). Make sure you go to QNAP's website and check the compatibility list for the drives you are considering. **Q: Does the qnap ts-473a-8g-us come with camera licenses for qvr pro?** A: According to QNAP, it comes with 8 embedded channels; all that needs to be done is to download the app from the store and install it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good NAS for experienced users.
