The crosspiece at the top is fixed. You'd have to pull the legs out of the crosspiece. But, it's not difficult to do. I didn't necessarily choose this one for convenience. I chose it because it was the sturdiest one out there. Good thing, too, because my granddaughter became a bit of a wild thing on the jumper! **Q: Does this product use any flame retardants or other chemicals (including but not limited to formeldahyde, bpa, phthalates)?** A: I don't thinks so, however, you should read the label and the description of this product. **Q: Help! 16 mo toddler just started waking, wobbly, but loves to jump and is 30 lbs.
