Review: Where has this been all my life - Having spotted these at the National Hardware show Las Vegas 2021 am thrilled to be able to purchase Zzem Screws in UK Excellent quality - the perfect solution if your hinge screws are turning & turning and the door has worked its way loose. I used to use gorilla glue & match sticks or cocktail sticks which sort of worked but was never that strong. Zzem screws come complete with all you need Except the cordless drill 🙌 You use the supplied drill bit to make the old screw hole bigger, then use the supplied Hex bit to drive the Zzem screw into the new hole using a cordless The Zzem screw cuts a tight thread into the hole Make sure its flush with the frame behind where the hinge sits Lastly use the supplied no 2 Phillips screwdriver bit & screw to secure the hinge to the frame Check the depth of the door frame & if required trim the Zzem screws after first establishing how thick it is. Ive never had such a strong fix Highly recommend
Review: Easy Install. Worked perfect - Our solid wood front door on our 3-year old house was starting to drag and was getting harder to latch when you closed it. When I went to tighten the hinge screws, I found that 80% of them screws on the jamb side wouldn't tighten...they just spun. I ordered one of these kits, and it took about 15 minutes to install. It came with everything needed, including the drill bit. Now the door closes easily, clicks latched with a light pull, and no more drag, just like new. And since the screws now screw into metal instead of soft pine 2x4, it's highly unlikely I'll ever have a problem again. The kit seems a bit over-priced for the materials, but it definitely works.

Our solid wood front door on our 3-year old house was starting to drag and was getting harder to latch when you closed it. When I went to tighten the hinge screws, I found that 80% of them screws on the jamb side wouldn't tighten...they just spun. I ordered one of these kits, and it took about 15 minutes to install. It came with everything needed, including the drill bit. Now the door closes easily, clicks latched with a light pull, and no more drag, just like new. And since the screws now screw into metal instead of soft pine 2x4, it's highly unlikely I'll ever have a problem again. The kit seems a bit over-priced for the materials, but it definitely works.
