Flavor + less cavities at the dentist's office = WIN WIN! *by L***A on December 17, 2020* I have tried every flavor of PUR gum- bubblegum, cinnamon, and wintergreen are my absolute favorites! Peppermint and spearmint are good as well, IMHO. The only one that I am not a fan of personally is the pomegranate mint. I appreciated being able to try all of the flavors by purchasing the variety pack, though. Now when I repurchase them, I buy multi-packs of just my favorites, and appreciate that they're available with Subscribe and Save, for some savings. I have found that brushing with xylitol toothpaste and chewing xylitol gum (in between meals and snacks, throughout the day, when brushing isn't possible or I'm just lazy) have helped me drastically reduce the number of cavities I end up having when I go to the dentist. I have dry mouth, and xylitol gum has made a difference for me in that regard, as well. I don't consume xylitol in any other way (such as baking with xylitol, or adding it to beverages) - just the minimal amount consumed in the chewing gum. I am curious to see if more research will be done in the future in regards to xylitol and dental healthcare. (Of course, all hands are on deck dealing with the pandemic, and I suspect that xylitol research isn't top-of-mind! Personally, I'm trying to stay OUT of the dentist's chair at this time, and taking even more interest in caring for my teeth.)
