I was able to covert it to a 1x10 with just a new chainring and chain but the drivetrain still felt sluggish with the stock X5 derailleur and cassette . The NX eagle groupset and bottom bracket makes this bike ride like a new bike. I'm usually disappointed when trying to upgrade my bike since it has an outdated frame but this was straight plug and play. Be sure to buy the dub bottom bracket. I used the threaded version. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great upgrade! *by W***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2020* I upgraded my 3x8 shimano/sram setup to this NX Eagle SRAM 1x12. I did it myself. The installation took about 2.5 hrs. It's really helpful to have the right tools, parts and watch instructional videos. I had to get the SRAM dub bottom bracket and it fit perfectly with the appropriate spacers. I'm loving this setup. The shifting is precise and smooth. Awesome product.
