A THIN layer every couple hours in the water protects from sun but is not slippery, seems to stick ok to wax.A must for me! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for red-heads with fair skin *by U***M on June 5, 2017* My poor little red-haired kid burns extremely easily, and after much trial and error, I have finally figured out what really works. First, I put on a layer of a high-SPF liquid sunscreen (sprays don't seem to do as good of a job protecting fair skin), let that soak in, then layer this Headhunter sunblock on top, on the areas that tend to burn, like cheeks and under the eyes. It stays on pretty well in water, but does rub off eventually. It's thick and white, so I can see when it's starting to rub off and needs to be reapplied, which is a bonus. It's a small stick that fits in my pocket or the waterproof bag that we use at the waterpark, which makes it convenient to reapply. The pool water is so warm and I'm in for 2 hours - and this stuff stays put.Believe the reviews. I have dark spots on my face along my hairline, which is where my sweat pours from. I also have matching dark spots on my outer eye sockets. After class, Headhunter looks just like it did when I applied it in the AM. I use it on the areas that a sun visor or cap will not protect.
