Review: Great replacement for my old Brookstone wallet. - Years ago I found a wallet Ike this at Brookstone. I used it for over a decade before it started falling apart. I looked for a replacement and they no longer carried it, and I could not find anything similar at any of the ten or so Local stores I tried. A friend sent me this link on desertcart, I was skeptical at the low price but decided to give it a try. While it’s not exactly the same design as the Brookstone, it has been working well the past few months. It looks small at first but you can easily fit dozens of cards in it (why do I have so many gas cards and grocery cards and coffee cards?). The Brookstone had a filler over the ID slot which made it hard to read without removing at (a feature, I guess, but why have a window if you can’t read through it?). This one does not. This one also adds an outside slot you can put a few most used cards in. And, this cost maybe 1/10th what the Brookstone one did, so I can replace it every year I have to an come out ahead ;) No place for change, but you can easily fold cash and keep it in the pocket.
Review: Holds many cards with minimal bulge - As much as I'd like to use a minimalistic wallet, I always have more credit cards, gift cards, ID cards and cash that will fit in the limited slots of that kind of wallet. This wallet allows me to stack all the cards together, taking up a minimum amount of space, with just two small pockets to separate ID cards (insurance, drivers license, membership cards) from the multiple credit cards and cash. Only negative is that cash (US$) doesn't fit well if folded in half and put in edgewise. Too tall, flap doesn't close down. So dollars must be folded twice and inserted with edges toward the sides of the wallet. Wallet feels soft and well made, not more of a bulge in the front pocket than my Leatherman Juice.
