It is so easy to take apart and clean, it's sturdy, beautiful, and exactly what I wanted. I was so surprised to see that no coffee grinds got through the filter, except some very very fine granules. However, I expected this and it does not effect the texture of the drink. What a smooth cup of coffee to start my day right. While this isn't really a huge deal, it requires full disassembly in order to clean the coffee grinds. My previous FP (from Starbucks) never "needed" full disassembly.2) The metal pieces holding the carafe are starting to rust.
