I tried caulking and Spackle and sanding and painting and I got so frustrated I ended up ripping it down. In the process, I messed up Both the ceiling and walls of my freshly painted room.. SO FRUSTRATING. I thought this would be an easy alternative.. WRONG. Peel and stick, and cut with a simple pair of scissors if need be. I purchased one container of this molding to see how it would look. If you do a really good job with the seams, you can fool your neighbors. If the light hits it at a certain angle, it could give it away if you are not careful to align it according to instructions. From the floor, it’s difficult to tell that it’s not wood. My wife walked into the room once I completed it and she said “let’s buy some more”. Installed in my dining room (standard) in about 45 minutes.
