We have a very large Schleich collection and so expect only the best, as is often the case, with these products.Pros: This is a fairy large play set. You'll either need a table or a decent floor space to set it down on. The animals are the same high quality you normally get, although it could have included more of the big 5, however, the selection is a good "starter" african animal set. I love all of the plants, hidey holes, and life like structure of the set. There is enough space to support play with a variety of figurines. You could set this up as a display and leave it for viewing as long as you don't have pets or kids bumping it. The instructions were thorough - you have to look closely and go slowly at times to see which plant pieces go together, so do this in a well lighted area. I'm poor at putting together sets but this was easy for me. You do need some thumb strength to push stuff into holes.Cons: It would be nice if the pieces snapped together. It's 3 sections, and they move around easily. I Put ours by a wall so it won't move as much. It's not a total dealbreaker as it's easier to move it around when you need to clean up, so easier for kids to put away instead of needing an adult every time. The waterfall in the pictures (and the water) looks like a crystal blue in the pictures. The water is darker but still water color. I was unhappy with the waterfall piece. It's purplish. And kind of ugly. It stands out against the set, but my daughter doesn't care. I'm not sure if this is funny or not but she pretends the water is polluted so her animals don't drink from that side of the play set. Kinda sad, but realistic I guess. Some of the pieces can come off easily as they are just set on there, but not hard to replace.I gave this four stars because overall it's a really nice set, but detracted a star mostly because of the ugly waterfall.
