I reinforced the roof (see YouTube) with 5/8" plywood, applied leak/repair tape around the opening to cover & fill old screw holes with silicone since it was originally fitted with a vent, use the extra strips of foam to balance rear of unit. **Q: The access hole on my rv is 15 x 15 inches. will this work? it would seem that i am losing about 1/3 of the sealing area.** A: Mount the tape to the unit & line it up on the inside of the RV as good as possible or buy 2 & piece together **Q: what is the exact size? inside, outside and thickness?** A: What matters is the size opening on your rig.
