They blend nicely with the bathroom decor and have given us peace of mind knowing there's extra support where it's needed most. Installing vertically on a tile wall it was very hard to keep it in position to mark the holes for drilling. In the end I drilled the upper most hole first, put the plastic insert in and then screwed it down. I taped the bottom to the tile in position so it couldn't move. I had two markers, a thin and a thicker one. Neither would fit in the holes far enough to mark the tile. I found a mechanical pencil and extended the lead a bit and was able to make the marks. Could not find the hole size on desertcart, so I ordered a set of ceramic drill bits along with the grab bars. The directions call for a 6 mm bit. A 1/4" bit is just slightly larger than that. Seemed to work anyway. If I do the second one it would go much faster. In the end it looks good and is very solid and has made the tub much safer for the wife. She's been taking baths for ever, but recently, having gotten pneumonia and being somewhat weaker and getting on in years, she had a hard time standing up to get out.
