Some petroleum oils will eventual breakdown the silicone liner.** A: I have been using Resilience salve for 3 years and with 2 different type of liners with no issues of break down on the liner. I am a above knee amputee, highly active and this salve solved a blister issue on the upper inside edge where my skin is thin and issues with blisters as the fit changes through out the day. Also this salve has helped with keeping the liner gel/silicone from getting destroyed at this spot too. Helps with sweating and friction while he’s wearing his prosthetic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is worth the money *by J***E on 28 January 2024* I use this stuff occasionally when my liner is aggravating my thigh. It helps keep friction burn or tearing at bay. Sometimes my leg has a reaction to the liner sort of pulling on it, it ends up like a blister. Issue is once you've got that going on it's easy for continued use of the liner to have a compounding issues. This stuff seems to keep it from causing further irritation and allows it to heal. It's got a bit of a greasy feel to it but I haven't had it cause any issues with blistering skin. It's definitely something to keep in the amputee toolbox to ensure you don't have any ongoing issues. Photo is of the healing process after I started using this on the blistered skin. Beforehand it wouldn't seal and remained sinewy.
